5 residents still want to fill board vacancySix residents of Sharpsville Area School District have applied to fill the school board seat vacated last month by Dr. Henry VanZanten.
Former board member Gerard Hanley, Michael Munger, William Abernathy, Sam Kudelko Jr. and Kimberly Barringer have applied, said Superintendent Dr. Derry Stufft. One applicant, Chris Combine, withdrew, Stufft said.
The board will interview candidates at March 13 in the high school library. The time will be announced.
Interested residents of Sharpsville, Clark or South Pymatuning Township should send a letter of intent to the district office, 513 Main St., Sharpsville, 16150, by 4 p.m. Wednesday.
