'Today' show producer set for College Club tea

Jessica Stuart, associate producer for NBC's "Today" show, will be guest speaker for the College Club of Sharon at a tea set for 1 p.m. March 9 in First Presbyterian Church, Sharon. March is also "Bring a Girl Month."

A 1992 graduate of Sharon High School, Ms. Stuart has been involved with presidential inauguration and election coverage; and many news events including the Monica Lewinsky scandal; John Glenn's return to space; natural and transportation disasters; and the Elian Gonzales story. She also is involved with Nightly News with Tom Brokaw and MSNBC's News with Brian Williams.

In addition, she arranges and field produces live shots; writes live segments; books guests for major news events and feature stories; edits tape spots; coordinates graphics and props for show segments; conducts and develops research for long-term projects; and does independent research. She also pitches and develops story ideas.

A daughter of Nick and Kathy Gracenin of Sharon, Ms. Stuart is recipient of Penn State University School of Communication Emerging Professional's Award, 2000.

Mary Kidd, aided by Joyce Hustey, Lucy Shaffer and Jan Bloomfield are in charge of hospitality.
