SOUTH PYMATUNING TOWNSHIP

Machinery storage building burns

A hay baler was lost in a fire Tuesday in a machinery storage building on a Darien Road farm in South Pymatuning Township.

Firefighters received the call at 10:24 a.m. and were on the scene for about three hours, said township Fire Chief Leroy Stambaugh.

The building, owned by the Miklos family, was used to store farm equipment and as a machine shop, Stambaugh said.

A monetary damage estimate was unavailable, and the cause had not been determined this morning, Stambaugh said. No one was hurt.

Transfer, West Salem Township and Orangeville firefighters assisted, Stambaugh said.
