FARRELL
Former city man charged with rape
A former Farrell man was arrested at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mercer County Jail for allegedly raping a woman who had passed out after a night of drinking, police said.
Robert R. Wilson, 23, of Pittsburgh, was charged with rape and indecent assault.
The woman, who lived in the 1000 block of Wallis Avenue, Farrell, returned home after drinking with a friend at 2:45 a.m. May 28, police said.
Wilson had been let into the home by the woman's sister, police said.
The woman woke up to find Wilson on top of her and that some of her clothes had been removed, police said.
The woman told Wilson to stop, but was too drunk to fight him, police said.
Wilson was arraigned Tuesday before District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, and taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $15,000 bond. He also is held on a parole detainer.
His preliminary hearing is set for 8:45 a.m. April 24.
