SHARPSVILLE

Group hosts 'Antiques on the Road' appraisals

If you think you have a treasure hiding among the dust in your basement or attic, bring it to Sharpsville.

The Sharpsville Historical Society will sponsor "Antiques on the Road in Sharpsville" from 1 to 4 p.m. April 28 at the Sharpsville Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on Walnut Street Extension.

Appraisers August Fetcko and Andrew Gold will be on hand to appraise items such as china and silver, glass, collectibles, toys, oriental items, paper and furniture. Jewelry and rugs will not be included.

Since the evaluations are non-binding for insurance purposes, the appraisers may offer assistance in locating formal appraisal.

The $5 admission fee covers the evaluation of one item. Additional items may be evaluated for $3 each.

Those attending may buy lunch and bake sale items. Sharpsville historical throws and "Cat's Meow" sculptures of the Jonas Pierce house in Sharpsville will be for sale.
