Riverside Inn opens season with 'Blood Relatives'
Riverside Inn in Cambridge Springs, a grand hotel of another era, has opened for a new season of meals, theater and special events.
The theater season kicks off with "Blood Relatives," a murder mystery about an Italian family feuding after the matriarch's death. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and April 26, and May 3 and 4. Mayhem Inc. presents the show, which was written by Charles Corritore.
"Snake-Eye Sam's Saloon Showdown," a musical comedy dinner theater, returns at 7:30 p.m. May 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 and 25, June 7 and 8, July 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27; 6 p.m. May 19; 3 p.m. May 26 and June 2; and noon July 10 and 23.
Also scheduled:
- "Come Blow Your Horn" by Neil Simon, noon June 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19; July 16 and 17; Aug. 6, 7, 20 and 21; Sept. 3, 4, 17 and 18; and Oct. 8, 9, 22 and 23. It's the story of two sons who rebel against their father's plans.
- The films of Nelson Eddy and Jeannette McDonald, June 24-30.
- "A Canterbury Feast," a medieval-style musical comedy starring the Greensleeve Players, weekends Aug. 2-Nov. 16. No shows will be held Labor Day Weekend.
- The 26th Annual Summer Arts and Crafts Show, Aug. 10 and 11.
- "Musical Mayhem: Killing Me Softly" by Mayhem Inc. and written by Charles Corritore, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 and Nov. 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 and 23. The show is about murder at a country karaoke bar.
- "Christmas Memories," 7 p.m. Nov. 22, Dec. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and 20; 6 p.m. Nov. 23, Dec. 14 and 21; 3 p.m. Nov. 24, Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22; and noon and 6 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 7.
- 17th Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Show, Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
- Breakfast and lunch with Santa, Dec. 14 and 21.
- Christmas with the New Richmond Singers, brunch Dec. 15 and 22.
Watercolor and photography workshops will be offered throughout the year.
