Cops seek parking lot purse-snatcher

The following is this week's Mercer County Crime Solvers case:

  • Crime: Robbery.

  • Details: A woman was approached by another woman in a parking lot in the 3300 block of the Shenango Valley Freeway in Hermitage at 7:23 p.m. Wednesday. The woman grabbed a purse from the victim's arm and drove off in a newer model, white, four-door Cadillac that was driven by a white man. The car went east on Route 62.

    The woman is white, in her 20s, has a slim build and is about 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs about 125 pounds. She was wearing a blue and white or black and white checkered one-piece outfit with brown sandals. She had light brown hair she wore in a ponytail.

  • Call: Crime Solvers at (724) 347-HELP, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

  • Reward: Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization which offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in the Mercer County area.
