FINDLEY TOWNSHIP

GC man listed in stable condition after one-car crash

A 22-year-old Grove City man was in stable condition this morning at a Pittsburgh hospital for injuries suffered in a one-car crash Friday night in Findley Township.

State police said Christopher Keck, of West Washington Boulevard, "appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage" at the time of the crash, but they were awaiting the results of a blood test. Charges have not been filed.

Police said Keck was southbound on Springfield Church Road at 11:50 p.m. when he veered off the left side of the road and smashed into a tree. The car continued south, spinning several times before coming to rest 150 feet down the road in the northbound lane, police said. Police said Keck had been speeding.

Keck was taken to United Community Hospital, Pine Township, and then flown to Allegheny General Hospital, police said. Two passengers in his car were not hurt, police said.
