Woman can't be found; case dropped

Charges filed against a Pittsburgh man accused of raping a woman who had passed out from drinking have been dropped.

Charges of rape and indecent assault against Robert R. Wilson, 23, were withdrawn Friday after the police said they could not locate the victim.

Wilson was arrested April 9 for an incident that allegedly occurred May 28, Southwest Mercer County Regional police said.

The victim, who lived in the 1000 block of Wallis Avenue, Farrell, told police she came home from a night of drinking at 2:45 a.m. and passed out in her room, police said.

She awoke to find Wilson, formerly of Farrell, on top of her, police said.

The woman said she told Wilson, who had been let into the home by the woman's sister, to stop, but she was too drunk to fight him off, police said.
