The annual charity food drive conducted by the nation's mail carriers will be held Saturday.
It will be the 10th annual Stamp Out Hunger drive conducted by the National Association of Letter Carriers.
Carriers in more than 10,000 cities and towns will collect food donated by people along their routes. The food will be donated to local food banks.
Last year carriers collected more than 70 million pounds of donated food.
Locally, carriers from post offices in Greenville, Jamestown, Stoneboro, Jackson Center, Sandy Lake, Fredonia, Hadley, Clarks Mills, Sheakleyville, Mercer and Transfer are participating.
People can make donations by leaving nonperishable food items in a bag near their mailbox before the carrier arrives Saturday.
