SHARPSVILLE

Council sending surveys to business people

Sharpsville borough council on Wednesday approved sending surveys from the business relations and development committee to businesses in the borough to gain feedback.

Gary "Gus" Grandy, chairman of the committee, said the goal of the surveys is to determine what the main concerns of the borough's business owners are.

He said he would also like to get the business people together to discuss their concerns and possibly offer them help in obtaining grants to benefit their businesses.

Questions on the survey include:

  • What can we do to serve your needs as a business in the borough?

  • What concerns do you have that the committee should address at future meetings?

  • What suggestions do you have to improve relations between businesses and council?

Borough Manager Michael Wilson said the surveys should be in the mail by the end of the week. Council President Jack Cardwell said he is urging business people to complete the surveys and send them back to council.
