Fair planners need to contact newspaper

Summertime means fair time and once again The Herald plans to give its readers a chance to mark their calendars so they don't miss longtime local traditions like Fredonia Old Home Week and the Transfer Harvest Home.

Those who are on a fair board or are helping to plan this summer's festivities are asked to submit information to Kelley Dorus at The Herald by 4 p.m. May 24 for publication on Tuesday, May 28. The address is Box 51, Sharon 16146. Information also may be faxed to Mrs. Dorus at (724) 981-5116, but planners should call her at (724) 981-6100 or (800) 981-1692 to make sure she received the information.

The following information should be included:

  • Dates, times and location of the event

  • Event sponsor

  • A few highlights, such as entertainment and contests

  • Name and daytime phone number of contact person.

    It's important to respond now, fair information might not be published again during the summer.
