4 generations of moms celebrate 5 generations in their family

Four generations of mothers in Michelle Lander's family are celebrating Mother's Day today.

Not only does the family have four generations of mothers, they are also all first-born girls. And the newest members of the family -- a first-born girl and her twin brother -- make five generations in the family.

Ms. Lander's grandmother, Mary Jane Bonanni, wife of the late Rayno Bonanni, of Grove City was the first born in her family.

Mrs. Bonanni gave birth to her first-born, Ms. Lander's mother, Janice Gladd, wife of James Gladd of Mercer.

Ms. Lander, of Grove City, was a first born and her first born was daughter Ericka Lander, now of Fredonia.

On March 6, Ericka gave birth to twins -- Destiny Rae, a girl, and Dakoda James, a boy.

"Destiny beat Dakota by two minutes," Ms. Lander said, making Destiny the fifth of the first-born girls in the family.

"All were 'tickled pink' that the first born of the twins was the girl, by two minutes," Ms. Lander said. "This truly completed our five-generation family."
