Smash, grab thieves stole cash, booze, cigarettes

The following is this week’s Mercer County Crime Solvers case:

  • Crime: Burglary and theft.

  • Details: Someone drove a vehicle through an overhead garage door and smashed an interior glass door at the Brookfield Drive-Thru, 862 S. Irvine Ave., Brookfield, at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. The burglars then stole an undetermined amount of cash, cigarettes and alcohol.

  • Call: Crime Solvers at (724) 347-HELP, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. Anyone with information can also call Brookfield Police at (330) 448-4044.

  • Reward: Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization which offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in the Mercer County area.
