The annual celebration gets under way officially today and offers a summer of activity and fun for Herald readers.

Highlighting the promotion, which runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day, will be a Saturday night baseball game at Pittsburgh's PNC Park, a Mercer County Day at Cafaro Field, and a daily giveaway of buckets of award-winning wings from Best Wings USA.

In addition, Herald Bingo will continue throughout the summer, and a weekly winner will be selected to receive a complimentary Herald Quad County Golfer Card. The card entitles the holder to a free round of golf at each of 17 area courses.

Information and a coupon will be published shortly about the game July 20 between the Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals. The game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.
