Hearing on fatal wreck charges postponedA pretrial hearing in Trumbull County for a Hermitage woman charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter in the January death of a 71-year-old woman has been rescheduled.
Catherine Settlemire, 41, of 630 Chesapeake Court, was charged Jan. 28 by the Ohio Highway Patrol after a Jan. 26 crash on Standard Avenue in Masury. A hearing set for Tuesday was rescheduled to nest week.
Police said the car Ms. Settlemire was driving crossed the center line and hit a car driven by Margaret "Peg" Snyder, 72, of Stevenson Road, Masury.
A passenger in Mrs. Snyder's car, Yvonne Edwards, 71, of 5070 Cassidy Road in Hermitage, died Jan. 27 of accident-related injuries, police said.
Ms. Settlemire's trial is set to begin Aug. 5 in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
