GROVE CITY

Library announces summer programs

Grove City Community Library, 125 W. Main St., is hosting summer events.

Children ages 3 and older can join the 2002 summer reading club, "Spotlight on Reading -- Be a Star @ Your Library!" Registration will begin June 3.

To successfully complete the program, participants must record the titles of 20 books they are asked to read, or have read to them. Completed logs must be turned in July 26. Those who complete the program will be awarded a reading certificate and will have a new book placed in their honor on the library's shelves.

Registrants, who must belong to the library, will receive a bookmark and plastic bag.

Those 18 months to 3 years, accompanied by a parent or caregiver, can join Bookworm Babies.

The three sessions will be 10 a.m. June 10 through July 8 and July 15 through Aug. 12 and 7 p.m. July 12 through Aug. 16. Registration is needed.

Story time is planned for 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays for 3- through 5-year-olds.

  • June 25 -- "Now Playing."

  • July 2 -- "Get the Beat."

  • July 9 -- "I've Been Framed."
