Man ignites brother's home, cops say

James K. Lundquest, 19, of 274 Buckeye Drive, South Pymatuning Township, was arrested Wednesday after Sharon police said he tried to set his brother's house on fire.

Lundquest was visiting his brother, Steve Yanak, who lives in the 1200 block of Heinz Avenue, when the two began arguing and Lundquest threatened to burn down the house, police said.

No one took him seriously and he left the two-story house, spread gasoline on the south and east walls and lit it, police said.

Someone came out of the house, saw Lundquest and chased him, but he got away, police said. Yanak put out the flames before Sharon firefighters arrived, fire officials said.

Police said they caught up with Lundquest at 2:18 a.m. when he tried to check himself into the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System. He was taken to Shenango Valley Regional Lockup in Farrell to await arraignment today, police said.
