SHARON, FARRELL
Patrols keeping busy
Sharon/Farrell Weed and Seed special police details worked 288 hours in May, making traffic and warrant arrests and citizen contacts and assisting patrolling police.
"There continue to be a number of 'quiet night' comments made by the patrols," said Assistant Mercer County District Attorney Robert Kochems, law enforcement coordinator for Weed and Seed.
"I have again received no citizen complaints concerning the patrols this month."
The patrols made 40 traffic stops that resulted in four warrant arrests and 22 traffic citations, including four for driving either without a license or under suspension.
Police made two arrests each for possession of drug paraphernalia and stolen vehicles, and two stolen vehicles were recovered.
The patrols assisted other police in two felony arrests, and issued citations, two for disorderly conduct and two for public drunkenness.
Thirty-seven citizen contacts were made, which included bar walkthroughs, neighborhood foot patrols and investigations of citizen complaints concerning suspicious activity.
