Police seeking information about robbery at shoe store
The following is this week's Mercer County Crime Solvers case:
Crime: Robbery.
Details: A man entered Payless Shoe Source, 1138 E. State St., Sharon, at 4:35 p.m. Tuesday, approached the clerk and demanded money from the register. The clerk handed over a small amount of cash and the man ran from the store.
The man is described as black, in his 40s or 50s with a goatee and glasses. He was wearing a dark baseball cap, a multi-colored Hawaiian-style shirt and blue jeans with holes in them.
Call: Crime Solvers at (724) 347-HELP, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. Anyone with information can also call the Sharon police at (724) 983-3210.
Reward: Crime Solvers is a non-profit organization which offers cash rewards of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of anyone responsible for a serious crime in the Mercer County area.
