Red Cross helping
after fire

A Lackawannock Township man was treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System when fire destroyed his home in Rustic Acres Mobile Home Park on Bend Road Wednesday, said Robert S. Goeltz, Hermitage fire chief. The call came into Mercer County 911 at 12:35 a.m.

Paul Sheely, 23, was treated for smoke inhalation, Goeltz said.

The Lot 19 trailer, owned by Kim Kennedy, was a total loss after a dropped cigarette ignited a living room couch, Goeltz said, adding that she and Sheely are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Hermitage firefighters were assisted by West Middlesex and Jefferson Township volunteers.
