Cops looking for driver who hit motorcycle and drove off

Hermitage police are asking for help in finding a car that rear-ended a motorcycle then drove away at 9:49 p.m. Wednesday on the Shenango Valley Freeway near Smith Avenue.

Police said a partial Pennsylvania license plate number, 6717, was taken down and the front bumper of the car is missing, since it was left on the motorcycle it hit.

Motorcycle driver Ralph Tarr, 55, and his passenger Paulette Tarr, 54, both of Pleasantville, Pa., were treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the police department at (724) 983-6780.
