Heart association honors volunteers

Harry Deter was named Volunteer of the Year during Mercer County Division of the American Heart Association's annual awards dinner.

He was recognized for outstanding dedication and hours of support to the division office.

Laura Fleming, Deb Gurtner and Joe and Mary Svarny were presented special awards.

Board members received accolades for their service during the past year.

The annual awards event was held June 20 in Sharon Country Club.
