Unrelated man
charged in beating

A fourth man was arrested for his alleged role in an assault on a Sharon man July 13, Sharon police said.

Bryan J. Dailey, 33, of 514 Fullerton Place, was arrested at 5:14 p.m. Friday at home on a warrant for aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, criminal conspiracy and disorderly conduct, police said.

Dailey, along with Walter Coonce, 38, of 130 Fourth Ave., Sharon, kicked and punched John Negrea, 26, of 86 Fifth Ave., while he was on the ground, police said.

Negrea was first attacked by sisters Theresa Coonce, 25, and Amanda Lee Coonce, 18, both of 514 Fullerton Place, who were armed with crescent wrenches, police said. The sisters are Coonce's nieces.

When police arrived at the scene they found about 15 on-lookers and Negrea bleeding and agitated, police said. Dailey had run from the scene before police got there.

Negrea was treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System where he received four staples to close wounds on his head, police said.

The Coonces were arrested the night of the attack on the same charges as Dailey. Their preliminary hearing is set for noon on Thursday before District Justice James E. McMahon, Sharon.

Dailey was arraigned before District Justice Ruth M. French, Mercer, and was taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $5,000 bond, police said.
