SHENANGO VALLEY


River water quality subject of meeting

Mercer County area residents are invited to a meeting about assessments for the Shenango River watershed from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers of the Sharpsville Borough Building, 1 S. Walnut St.

Assessment findings, soliciting input and discussing the water protection project will be part of the meeting.

The watersheds are the public water source for Farrell, Hermitage Sharon, Sharpsville and Wheatland residents by Consumers Pennsylvania Water Co. Shenango Valley Division. The assessments are part of Pennsylvania's Source Water Assessment and Protection Program which gauges raw water quality.
