SHARON

Suit against Winner moving along

Charges against a Sharon woman accused of trying to stab her boyfriend, were waived to court Friday.

Tanisha Alberty, 24, of 209 Mesabi St., Sharon, appeared before District Justice Henry J. Russo Friday on charges of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

She was arrested at 2 p.m. July 24 in the 800 block of Lee Avenue, Farrell, after trying to stab her boyfriend with a kitchen knife, Southwest police said.

She was disarmed by the man and no injuries were reported.

Ms. Alberty said Friday that the stabbing incident happened "in the heat of the moment" and should never have gone that far.

She was released on $5,000 bond. A bail condition advising no contact with the victim was removed.
