Police have a warrant out for a woman they believe stole a purse with credit cards and $35 from a shopping cart in a Hermitage grocery store parking lot at 2:20 p.m. Monday.

A woman from Brookfield was loading her groceries in her vehicle when another woman got out of a vehicle, grabbed her purse from a shopping cart and then drove off, police said.

Witnesses took down the license plate number of the vehicle and described the thief as a white woman in her twenties and the driver of her vehicle as a white man in his twenties, police said.

Police do not know if the theft was related to two other purse snatchings in two Hermitage parking lots on July 29 and Aug. 5.
