4 face charges after drug raid
Four people were arrested during a Weed and Seed drug raid around 10 p.m. Thursday at 364 Orchard St., Sharon police said.
Jerry Lewis Taylor, 43, Michael Taylor, 35, and Jesse Lou Taylor, 69, all of 364 Orchard St., and Penny Marie Jewell, 26, of 466 Dock St. were all charged, police said.
Jesse Taylor was charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver crack and marijuana. Jerry Taylor was charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Mark Taylor and Ms. Jewell were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
All faced arraignment this morning at District Justice James E. McMahon's Sharon office except Jesse Taylor, who suffered chest pains shortly after her arrest and was taken to the hospital at Sharon Regional Health System. She will be arraigned after she is released from the hospital, police said.
In the house, police found $500 and a shotgun as well as quantities of crack cocaine and marijuana.
Police said the house has been under investigation for some time. Sharon and Southwest Mercer County Regional police were assisted by Sharpsville police's K-9 unit.
