FARRELL

Woman hurt in crash last week dies

Lynn M. Hopson, Farrell, died Tuesday at a Pittsburgh hospital from injuries suffered in a one-car crash a week earlier in West Salem Township.

Ms. Hopson of 1222 Washington St. died at UPMC Presbyterian, where she was flown after the crash.

Ms. Hopson had been headed to work at UPMC Horizon, Greenville -- where she was a nurse's aide -- on the morning of Aug. 6 when she wrecked her car just north of Good Hope Road on state Route 18. Her car rolled and flipped several times, coming to rest more than 250 feet off the road, Greenville-West Salem Township police had said.

Ms. Hopson, a 1976 Farrell High graduate, was a 15-year veteran of the Army Reserves and served in Desert Storm in the Persian Gulf War.
