A 19-year old Greenville man was arrested Tuesday on charges of rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault, burglary and simple assault and is being held in the Mercer County Jail.

Timothy Minner of Franklin Street was charged by Greenville-West Salem Police after he allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old women around 3 a.m. Monday after entering the home of a former acquaintance through a window, police said.

Minner was arraigned this week and placed on a $20,000 bond. He was still in the Mercer County Jail Friday evening, according to a jail spokesperson.

His preliminary hearing is set for 2 p.m. Aug. 22 before District Justice William L. Fagley, Greenville.
