Woman jumped into fight and stabbed man, police say

A Sharon man was stabbed several times Tuesday during a domestic dispute with a woman after a second woman joined the fight, Sharon police said.

Police said they were called at 10:14 a.m. to an apartment building at 300 Russell Street for a domestic dispute. When police arrived they said they found William Edward Flint, 43, bleeding from stab wounds.

Flint, who lives in the apartment building, and a woman were fighting in a parking lot in the 300 block of Russell when Marcia Lee Fisher, 48, also of 300 Russell St., came out of her apartment into the parking lot with a utility knife and jumped in the fight, police said. Ms. Fisher stabbed Flint in the neck, temple and face, police said.

Flint was taken to the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System where he received stitches, police said. A hospital spokesperson said this morning he was released.

Ms. Fisher was arraigned before District Justice Henry J. Russo, Hermitage, on charges of criminal attempt at homicide, aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, police said. She was taken to Mercer County Jail after failing to post $25,000 bond.
