Car hits house, downs power lines

A Farrell man refused medical treatment after the car he was driving went off the road and hit several objects, including a house in Wilmington Township, state police said.

Stephen B. Royster Jr., 26, of 931 Fruit Ave., was traveling south on state Route 18 at 5 a.m. Monday when his car went off the west side of the road, police said. The car sheared a pole, hit landscaping and then a house, police said. The car ended up on its roof, police said.

The road was closed for about two hours because of downed power lines, police said.

Royster's car was totaled, police said.

Police did not have the name of the homeowner or how much damage was done to the house.
