Weed and Seed reports 308 hours of special police details in August

Weed and Seed police patrols worked 308 hours of special details in August, and reports continued to note an absence of illegal activity, said Robert Kochems, Weed and Seed law enforcement coordinator.

In making 42 traffic stops, police issued citations for 20 summary violations, and made one arrest for receiving stolen property and three for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Weed and Seed police served 14 arrest warrants and made arrests on charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver and a firearms violation.

Patrols made 25 assists to other police units and 48 citizen contacts, which included foot patrols, bar walk-throughs, private club visits and attempts to serve warrants. Following up on calls made to the Mercer County District Attorney's drug hotline, Weed and Seed police searched two houses and made arrests on drugs and weapons charges. In assisting federal agents, police also made arrests on drugs and weapons charges.
