Jamestown man faces assault charges

A Jamestown man was arrested Sunday for ramming a vehicle and threatening the female driver, Greenville-West Salem Township police said Monday.

Randy E. Gessler, 42, of 505 Depot St., used his vehicle to ram another vehicle, forcing it off North Maysville Road in West Salem, said police, who were called at 10:11 a.m.

Police said Gessler also chased the woman and her son, who was with her in the vehicle.

Gessler fled before police arrived, police said. He was arrested later in Jamestown with help from state police, police said.

Gessler was charged with three counts each of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment and one count of making terroristic threats, police said.
