24-year-old charged
with drug trafficking

A Greenville man was arrested Saturday afternoon following a two-year police investigation into illegal drug trade in the area.

Carson Osborne, 24, of 240 East Ave. was arrested on a warrant for narcotics violations, filed by the state attorney general's bureau of narcotics investigation and the Mercer County Drug Task Force.

Osborne is charged with seven felony counts of delivery of controlled substances and conspiracy to deliver cocaine and marijuana and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance, Greenville-West Salem Township police said.

Osborne is accused of delivering a total of 9 ounces of cocaine to Charles Sensesak, starting in November 2000. Osborne is also accused of delivering 1/4-pound of marijuana on two occasions to Sensesak, is serving 4 to 8 years in a state prison, police said.

After Osborne's arrest, Greenville-West Salem Township said they found what is believed to be methamphetamine in his car.

Osborne was arraigned by video Saturday evening in front of District Justices James McMahon, Sharon. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday in front of District Justice William L. Fagley, Greenville.

Osborne was returned to Mercer County Jail, after failing to post straight bond of $100,000, which means the entire amount must be posted either by Osborne or a surety company.
