Police are advising that some major thoroughfares in the city will be closed for two hours Saturday for the Hermitage Holiday Light Parade.

The following streets will close at about 6 p.m.:

   » East State Street between Buhl Farm Drive and North Hermitage Road, which is state Route 18

   » North Hermitage Road from the Shenango Valley Freeway to Highland Road.

The parade starts at Hermitage Towne Plaza and goes east on East State to Shenango Valley Mall. The only access to the mall that will be open is the east entrance near Firestone.
