Greenville Borough Council will vote to advertise the appointment of acting Police Chief Tom Strahler at their regular meeting next week.

Strahler has been acting chief for about 10 months.

"We've played along with this guy for about 11 months," Greenville Mayor Clifford Harriger said.

Council will also vote to approve borough employee insurance benefits for 2003.

Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
