Telecommunications ordinance tabled

South Pymatuning Township supervisors have tabled an ordinance dealing with the placement of wireless telecommunication facilities. They want to rework some of the language.

The ordinance, if passed, would regulate the height and appearance of these facilities, as well as encourage shared use.

The measure would also require the builder to put money into an escrow fund if the facility is no longer needed or no longer works and must be removed.

Supervisors recessed Tuesday's meeting until 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17 to continue to discuss the issue.
