Couple arrested
at funeral home
A Shenango Township couple was arrested at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday outside a Farrell funeral home for causing a disturbance, and for one of them trying to force her way into the funeral home, police said.
When police arrived at Leipheimer-Tomon Funeral Home, 1246 Roemer Blvd., Michelle Redmond, 22, was yelling obscenities at Lawrence Stevens, 32, and trying to force her way inside, police said.
They both live at Lot 119, Oak Leaf Estates, police said.
Ms. Redmond was cited for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness, and Stevens was cited for disorderly conduct for interfering with her arrest, police said.
Stevens also was charged with simple assault for hitting Michael Redmond over the head with a platform shoe, police said.
Redmond, 47, Elmo Street, Hermitage, was treated at the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, Farrell, police said.
