Fund set up to help man hurt in crash

A fund to help offset medical expenses has been started for a Sandy Lake Township man who spent several months in a coma after an Aug. 24 car crash.

Police said Corey T. Conway, 24, of 1266 Georgetown Road was flown to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh after the crash and spent several months in a coma.

He was moved to a skilled nursing facility in Wexford and must undergo a great deal of rehabilitation.

Police said Conway was hurt when his northbound car left U.S. Route 62 and hit a guard rail and a tree.

Donations can be sent to: Corey Conway, in care of National City Bank, 147 N. Diamond St., Mercer 16137.
