Living Word church to mark 10th anniversary

Living Word Christian Center, 21 S. Maysville Road, will celebrate its 10th anniversary starting at 7 p.m. today with a banquet and program. "Harvest in every area" is the theme. There also will be services at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the church.

Pastors Steve and Molly Payne of Mandate Worldwide Ministries in Norwalk, Ohio, will speak at the banquet. They have served since 1974 in the ministry and have instructed congregations and Bible schools in North America, Europe and Africa.

Living Word was begun by Pastors Larry and Marla Black in 1993 at a home in Greenville. It moved a short time later to a Kinsman Road building.

The church now is housed in a building purchased from the former Maysville Community Church. Jim and Jan Chapin assumed pastorate in June 1999.
