Regenex honored as 'Client of Year'

Regenex Corp. has been recognized as the Small Business Financing Client of the Year by the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission.

The company, which recycles scrap generated in the manufacture of vinyl windows and uses it to make window accessory extrusions, was chosen at the commission's recent annual meeting for creating 67 jobs.

As a start-up venture in 1992, Regenex came to the commission for a loan to purchase equipment. Since that loan, the company has gone through several changes, including the purchase of its current West Middlesex building in 1994 and an expansion of the facility in 1999.

Regenex started with only one grinder and a single extrusion line in 1992, but it now has five grinding lines and 11 extrusion lines.

The commission is an economic development agency that covers eight counties in Northwest Pennsylvania.
