Trinity church seeks

oral history volunteers

Trinity Presbyterian Church, Mercer, is seeking oral history volunteers. The church's bicentennial history committee is seeing if there is interest in adding an oral history to the printed history of the church.

For Trinity, this could be interviews about what the church's music, Sunday school, worship services, or church life was like in earlier days, as well as about significant events in the church's history.

If the oral history becomes a reality, the church would like to make the cassette tapes available for people to hear during the 2004 bicentennial year. After 2004, the tapes would be stored at the church for future generations to hear.

Trinity needs both people wanting to record interviews and longtime members and former members with stories to tell.

Anyone interested in being an interviewer or interviewee, contact Peggy Crawley at (724) 962-2403 or Lillian Love at (724) 662-5095.
