Hearse, car stolen

Two cars -- one of them a hearse -- and a license plate were stolen in Sharon between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.

A black, 1998 Cadillac hearse was stolen from a garage in the 300 block of Alderman Avenue, police said. The hearse, which is owned by a Hermitage man, was not functioning for funeral purposes as far as police knew.

Police did not have a license plate number for the hearse.

During the same time period a blue, 1987 Chevrolet sedan, with license plate number DHB4749, was stolen from the 900 block of Baldwin Avenue, police said. The four-door car was locked and parked in an alley, police said.

Also between Wednesday night and Thursday morning a Pennsylvania license plate number DLS8961 was stolen from a Dodge van in the 100 block of Sharpsville Avenue, police said.
