Man, 19, charged with raping 2 girls
Police arrested a 19-year-old Masury man Wednesday on charges he raped two female relatives.
Mark Hearn, of 1121 Broadway Ave., was arrested at home on a Trumbull County warrant at 2:21 a.m. Wednesday on four counts of rape, police said. He is being held after failing to post $500,000 bond.
Going off a request from Trumbull County Children's Services, Brookfield, police began an investigation Sept. 19 at the Hearn residence after learning of accusations involving the molestation of 3- and 5-year-old girls, said Police Chief Daniel Faustino.
Hearn's sister, Mary Beth Hearn, 24, same address, and Hearn's mother, Karen Johnson, 43, were charged with four counts each of child endangerment.
The three were arraigned in Trumbull County Court Thursday morning before Judge John M. Stuard. The women were released after posting $1,000 bond each. Hearn and Ms. Johnson will appear at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at pre-trials before Judge Andrew Logan. A pretrial arraignment for Ms. Hearn is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday before Judge W. Wyatt McKay.
The children are in the custody of Children's Services, Faustino said.
