Farrell Councilman Mark Petrillo said Monday he is running for a second four-year term.

Petrillo, 49, of 139 Shenango Blvd., who was a city firefighter for 22 years prior to coming onto council, said he wants to continue to help improve the city.

"I see some things happening," he said. "We're not taking leaps, but we're taking short steps."

Petrillo, a real estate agent, faces at least one challenger, Olive Brown. Mayor William Morocco also is running for re-election. All candidates are Democrats.
