Two hurt in wreck remain in hospitals
A 5-year-old Greenville girl was in fair condition at UPMC Children's Hospital in Pittsburgh following a two-car crash that injured seven people.
The accident occurred when Brandon Smith, 18, of 1918 Winner Road, Hermitage, was driving north on North Keel Ridge and his car slid into the opposite lane and collided with a car driven by Carmella Carlson, 32, of 524 12th St., Greenville, police said.
A passenger in Smith's car, Brandon Davis, 16, of 2685 Robertson Road, Hermitage, was thrown from the back window, police said.
Davis, his twin brother Brock, 16, and Smith were taken to the hospital of Sharon Regional Health System, where Smith was treated and Brock and Brandon were admitted. The brothers were both released Thursday, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Ms. Carlson, and three passengers; 5-year-old Chevelle Carlson, 10-year old Carl Jones, and 11-year-old Zachary Jones, were all admitted to UPMC Horizon, Farrell but Carl and Zachary were discharged Thursday, according to a nursing supervisor. Ms. Carlson was in stable condition and Chevelle was transferred to Children's, the supervisor said.
