Farrell Area School District's three building principals have new contracts, but the deals, in essence, are good for only about four months.

The school board approved one-year deals with elementary Principal Steve Gurrera, elementary Assistant Principal Carole Borkowski and high school Principal Charles Sanitate that run from last July 1 through June 30.

The principals will get 3.2-percent salary hikes, which are in line with what the teachers received in their one-year pact.

Gurrera's deal raises his salary from $76.972 to $79,435

Ms. Borkowski will see her pay rise from $69,222 to $71,437.

Sanitate's salary will go up from $69,000 to $71,208.
