Greenville Mayor Cliff Harriger is in the critical care unit at UPMC Horizon, Greenville, according to borough council President Pete Longiotti.
Longiotti would not say why Harriger was hospitalized. He said the mayor was expected to remain in critical care until at least today, when Harriger may be moved to intensive care.
