Lisa St. Ann to headline Longley tribute concert

A concert featuring 12 bands will be held March 23 in tribute to guitarist Ty Longley, the former Shenango Valley man who died in the Feb. 20 Rhode Island nightclub fire.

Jim Balentine, a friend of Longley's father, Hubbard Music Center and Cafaro Co. are putting on the show that starts at 12:30 p.m. at Eastwood Expo Center, Niles, Ohio. The music is expected to last until 10 p.m.

Singer-songwriter Lisa St. Ann will headline the show. Longley once played in her touring band.

Also booked to play are regional bands the Binder, Smack Daddies, Sugarfuzz Orchestra, Worst Case Scenario, 7 Percent Superstar, Ear Candy, Acid Reign, Edison's Medicine, the Rage, the Bixbies and Yesterday's News.

More bands could be signed.

All ages will be admitted and refreshments will be available for purchase.

A minimum admission fee of $10 will be charged at the door, and the proceeds will be turned over to Longley's family for the Ty Longley Memorial Foundation, which has been set up at the Shenango Valley Foundation.
